While growing up, my parents kept me and my three siblings, Jon, Rachael, and Amy, all involved in their work. As I have grown up I have slowly learned the local dialect here in Cebu, and it is my home, as I was born and raised here. I was convicted of my sin and baptized by immersion on November 9, 2001.
I completed my high school education in 2007 and took the GED exam August of that year to get my diploma. I completed a two-year college course of Biblical Greek in February of 2006. I have also completed the courses offered at the Bible Study Center on "How to Teach at the BSC I" in April of 2006 and the course "How to Teach at the BSC II" in April of 2007. I've been teaching ever since September of 2006. I completed my apprenticeship under my father in 2008 and have been working full-time since.
My plans for the future: I love the "mission life" I have been able to have, and I want to spend my days doing mission work. I feel that it is the least I can do for someone who has done so much for me. I also realize that I have a unique situation in that I was born, raised, and live in the Philippines, and have a grasp of the culture that would take a person years to acquire. I know the culture, local dialect, and ways of the people. My plan is to stay in the Philippines as long as the Lord will have me here.
I am currently in the Philippines working with my parents and siblings teaching at the Bible Study Center. This is my second tour. I am so glad that I've been able to be a part of the work over here and let God use me in whatever way he sees fit.
I hope that you enjoy reading about the awesome life I have had and am having. Thanks for stopping by!
